In a warm and friendly atmosphere, on January 22nd, an event was held by the Center of Specialized Services COMPASS in Thessaloniki, with the participation of children and workers from the Accommodation Centers for Unaccompanied Minors (KAFA).
The event was a valuable opportunity for information about the Centre’s activities, enhancing the acquaintance and interaction between the attendees.
During the event, the COMPASS project and the specialised services provided, aimed at empowering unaccompanied children and preparing them for smooth social integration, were presented. At the same time, the opportunity was given for an open discussion, exchange of experiences and search for new ways to strengthen the Centre’s actions, through the cooperation of all stakeholders.
The General Director of SYNYPARXIS, His Eminence Archimandrite Fr. Panteleimon Papasynefakis, extended warm wishes to the attendees and stressed the importance of cooperation of all those who contribute to the support of unaccompanied minors. He underlined the crucial role of the COMPASS project as a pillar of support and orientation, noting that the ultimate goal of all actions is the creation of a stable framework that will enhance the children’s potential and pave the way for a safe and promising future. This was followed by a detailed presentation of the services provided in the context of the COMPASS Centres, with an emphasis on therapeutic support for trauma, strengthening participation in the educational process and supporting unaccompanied children in their transition to adult life.
