Athanasia Kotsiatoy has been working at SYNYPARXIS – Ecumenical Refugee Program since January 2013. She is a graduate of the Department of Social Work at the Technological Educational Institute of Crete and has completed the postgraduate program “Adult Education” at the Hellenic Open University.

For the past 5 years, she has been a member of the organization’s Steering Committee and holds the position of Rapporteur. She started as a social worker in legal and social support programs, and since 2020, with the operation of the Accommodation Shelters, she has taken on the position of Director of Legal and Social Services at SYNYPARXIS. Her main duties include supervising, training, and coordinating the organization’s scientific staff.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implementation of social support programs for minors, with the aim of their social integration and protection.
  • Supervision of the organization’s scientific staff.
  • Cooperation and networking with social organizations.
  • Managing crises involving beneficiaries and being responsible for child protection issues.
  • Supervising scientific staff on issues of recruitment, training, and evaluation.
  • Preparation of reports to the organization’s management, funders, and other stakeholders.
  • Representation of the organization at meetings, conferences, and other events.
