Where nature becomes a lesson in life

The children had the opportunity to experience a special connection with nature during their visit to the Kalochori lagoon.

Far from the familiar rhythms of daily life, they explored the area’s natural landscape and got an up-close look at a unique world teeming with life. They observed the birds and other animals that inhabit the lagoon and discovered the unique value of such an important natural ecosystem.

The visit also provided a wonderful opportunity to discuss ecology and humanity’s relationship with the environment. The children talked about the impact that everyday human habits can have on nature, as well as the changes that climate change brings to the lives of animals and ecosystems.

Through this experience, they had the opportunity to understand that protecting the environment isn’t just about large-scale actions, but also begins with small choices that everyone can make in their daily lives. It was a day filled with sights, knowledge, and beautiful food for thought, bringing them a little closer to nature and the importance of protecting it.
