In April 2020, SYNYPARXIS proceeded to creating and operating Shelters for unaccompanied minor refugees and immigrants in Attica and Thessaloniki funded by Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) and national resources.
Housed in suitable buildings that ensure the safety and comfort of children, the structures are staffed with over 100 employees of various specialties who provide a wide range of services to the 200 minor guests.
The services not only cover the basic needs of minors (housing, nutrition, legal support, health, education) but also include psychosocial support and preparation for autonomy and social inclusion. The main principles of the provided services refer to safety and child protection of the minor, individual development, maturity to be able to consciously exercise their rights and finally, emancipation in a mutually beneficial way for both the individual and the host society.
