Guests of our shelters to the Archbishop

The Metropolitan of Ilion, Acharnon and Petroupoleos, Mr. Athenagoras, President of the Steering Committee of “SYNYPARXIS” and its General Director, Archimandrite Panteleimon Papasynefakis with unaccompanied Christian refugee children who are accommodated in the “SYNYPARXIS” shelters visited this morning the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, Mr. Hieronymos. Fr. Panteleimon informed His Beatitude that the children wanted to visit him to receive his blessing and wish him a happy Easter. He also made it known that an effort is being made for the children to start school, learn the language and of course feel safe in their “new home” that they have.

The Archbishop thanked the children for the visit and advised them to go to school and study so that they can progress and contribute to other people.

SYNYPARXIS – Ecumenical Refugee Program is a civil non-profit organization of the Church of Greece that has over 40 years of giving back to returnees, refugees and asylum seekers through the provision of support services.
