“Refugees of Then and Now”: An Unforgettable Visit to the Digital Museum

Our visit to the photography exhibition “Refugees of Then and Now” at the Digital Museum of Nea Smyrni was a memorable experience for our children. The emotion was indescribable as the exceptional exhibits were able to “touch” the painful souls of refugee children.

Immediately after the tour, our children participated in the museum’s intercultural education program. The program is implemented by the educator-actor Catherine Koukouli through the experiential games of “Creative Writing” and “Introduction to Devised Theater.”

Upon returning to their “home,” the children’s desire to attend such exhibitions again was evident! In result, we promised them that at the first opportunity, we will visit even more exhibits with this theme.
