We had the honor to welcome in one of our shelters the Deputy Mayor of Integration of Immigrants and Refugees of the Municipality of Athens, Mr. Thanasis Chimonas. The Deputy Mayor was warmly welcomed to the shelter by the General Director of SYNYPARXIS, Archimandrite Fr. Panteleimon Papasynefakis, the Director of Social and Legal Services, Mrs. Athanasia Kotsiatou, as well as the staff of the shelter in question.
After our guest’s tour of the facilities of the shelter, the Director General spoke about the work of the Church of Greece through SYNYPARXIS. Then, an in-depth discussion followed about the difficulties faced in the daily life of the organization and the ways of dealing with them.
Before his departure, the General Director offered our honorable guest souvenir gifts as a counterpart of his presence in our shelter.
