The students and accompanying professors were welcomed by the General Director of SYNYPARXIS, Arch. Panteleimon Papasynefakis, and the Director of Social and Legal Services, Ms. Athanasia Kotsiatou. After providing a detailed presentation on the work of the Church of Greece regarding refugees through our organization, all the psychosocial, legal, and educational support services for minors were extensively discussed. Coordinator Mr. D. Aslanis presented the daily program of a facility as well as the activities followed by the minors. This was followed by a constructive dialogue which the students raised their inquiries and questions regarding the work being carried out. Accompanying the students on behalf of the Department of Social Theology were Mr. S. Despotis, Mr. K. Kefaleas, Mr. A. Michaelidis, and Dr. James Horncastle, Dr. Eirini Kotsovili representing SFU.
* The shelter for unaccompanied minors operates in the framework of the program “Creation and operation of Shelters for Unaccompanied Minor Refugees and Migrants” funded by the Sectoral Development Program of the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum.
