Discovering Greek Culture: A Magical Visit to the Benaki Museum

Children from our shelter visited, together with their escorts, the Benaki Museum of Greek Culture, where they learned about the course of Greek culture from antiquity to the present day. They were impressed by the similarities with their own culture, especially in the tools, musical instruments, jewellery and traditional costumes, which reminded them of the culture of Afghanistan.

Also on display at the temporary exhibition were the award-winning costumes from the film “Poor Things” by George Lanthimos, which won the Oscar Award for Costume Design, among others!
