On Tuesday, May 7, 2019, the event “From the refuge of yesterday to today’s refuge” took place at the World Cultural Foundation of Hellenism of the Diaspora (Π.Ι.Ι.Ε.Δ.), co-organized by the Holy Metropolis of New Ionia and Philadelphia and the Municipality of New Philadelfia-New Chalkidona. With their speeches, the Vice-Chairman of KSPM-ERP’s Steering Committee, Most Reverend Bishop, Mr Gabriel, and the Director of KSPM-ERP, Very Reverend Archimandrite Panteleimon Papasynefakis expressed the official view of the Church of Greece for love and offering to every person without discrimination. At the same time, they underlined the practical interest of the Church of Greece and presented the actions and programs of our Center. At the event, also participated and took the floor the Mayor of New Philadelfia-New Chalkidona Mr A. Vasilopoulos, the Emeritus Professor of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Dr Tsiakalos and the Project Coordinator of Emergency Support to Integration & Accommodation-ESTIA programme at New Philadelphia, Ms Stathoulia.
