Today, 17/9/2019, a meeting was held at the headquarters of AEK BC between the President of the “Integration Centre for Migrant Workers-Ecumenical Refugee Program (KSPMERP)” of the Church of Greece, His Eminence the Metropolitan of Ilion, Acharnai and Petroupolis Mr Athenagoras and Mr Makis Angelopoulos, President of AEK BC.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed and established the continuation of the successful cooperation of the Centre and AEK BC, that was launched as a pilot last year on the initiative of the Director of the Centre, the Very Reverend Archimandrite Mr Panteleimon Papasynefakis, who was also present at the meeting.
His Eminence, after thanking Mr Angelopoulos for accepting the Center’s proposal and for his willingness to further expand the cooperation, wished AEK BC every success and praised their multifaceted social action.
Mr Angelopoulos offered to His Eminence the shirt of the AEK BC team captain, Jonas Maciulis, a decorative candle with the AEK emblem and the DVD of the “1968” movie.
The next joint actions of the Centre and AEK will be announced in the near future.
