On Thursday, June 23, 2022, by invitation, the General Director of the Synyparxis Arch. Panteleimon Papasinefakis participated as a speaker at the scientific conference “Dialogues for the prevention and response to violence” in the conference room of the Holy Synod.
During the three-day conference, organized in the context of the “Initiative for the Prevention of Domestic Violence” program by the Foundation for Youth and Family of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, academics, court officials, other scientists, representatives of institutions and organizations in order to analyze the various forms of violence in modern times but also to promote good practices of civil society for the prevention and treatment of forms of violence.
On behalf of Synyparxis, the General Director during his speech reminded those present that according to the Paternalistic terminology “… hatred, conflict, rejection of the other, racism and anything that disrupts this society of persons are essentially against in human nature. ” For this reason, as he stressed, “for us in Synyparxis, the fight against ignorance, the opening to the local community, the creation of appropriate conditions for the acquaintance with the foreigner, the difference, is a basic pursuit. The other ceases to be the enemy, the threat, and acquires a face, an entity becomes a person with whom we are connected much more than we imagine. ”
