This Monday 11 April 2022 an acquaintance meeting took place at our offices between the General Director of SYNYPARXIS Arch. Panteleimon Papasinefakis alongside the director of social and legal services of SYNYPARXIS Mrs. Athanasia Kotsiatou and the co-president of the Ecologist – Greens party Mrs. Katerina Andrikopoulou – Sakorafa. The purpose of the visit was to exchange thoughts and views on refugee matter in Greece, especially how it can be shaped after the start of the war in Ukraine.
As it was initially pointed out to our guest, the focus of our actions is the human being; in particular, practical and non-discriminatory assistance to anyone in need. With this principle, as noted by the General Director, decades ago have begun the humanitarian actions of legal and psychosocial support of the Church of Greece, through SYNYPARXIS, to returnees, refugees and asylum seekers. The organization continues to provide multifaceted support to unaccompanied refugee minors in our shelters, with the help of specialized professionals, aiming at the smooth integration of our children in Greece and in Europe. And if the need arises, the Church will stand by and provide all possible assistance to orphaned children from Ukraine.
Mrs. Andrikopoulou – Sakorafa after thanking the General Director and the Director of Social and Legal Services for the work being done under difficult conditions, she expressed the desire to visit one of our structures and to organize joint environmental awareness actions and more.
